Literacy Aotearoa Dunedin is a non-profit organisation which provides reading, writing and critical literacy assistance to adults in our community at no cost to the learner. Tuition is student-directed and voluntarily undertaken.For more information for students click here.

We are part of the Literacy Aotearoa national federation. We provide tutor training to our volunteer tutors. Tutoring is either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. For more information about becoming a tutor click here.

Location

Our offices are centrally located in the Carnegie Centre at 110 Moray Place, just next to Indian Summer restaurant.

This building used to be the home of Dunedin Public library, so it has a long association with books and reading!

Come though the main doors from Moray Place and go down the stairs on the left. Walk along the corridor and down another set of stairs; our office is on the right just before you go out into the courtyard.

Our friendly rooms contain meeting rooms, a computer room, a library, study areas, social areas, and administration areas, plus a kitchen.
